It has been a quick minute since I have posted, but I am so glad to be back! Life has been all over the place and with the craziness of the holidays, I tend to disconnect for a few weeks and decompress with family and good friends. 2015 came and went with the blink of an eye. I still can not wrap my head around the fact that we are a good few days into a new year. A NEW YEAR!
I personally see it as just a new calendar date... a continuation of what has been. I do not think we need a new year to set new goals and work on bettering ourselves. That should happen daily, no matter how difficult it may seem. If you want to focus on your health and incorporate fitness into your life- do it. If you want to change your career path- do it. No need to wait for a specific day to start, life is too short.
It has been a handful of years now where I do not set resolutions for myself. Personally, I do not see the point. I live my life with goals in mind that I want to meet. They are realistic, positive, and for ME. For those of you who know me, you know I am a very private person. I do not feel the need to share my each and every goal with everyone. I work in silence and let my successes speak volumes.
I have spent the past 5 years focusing on bettering myself inside and out, and I will continue to do just that in 2016, this will be a life long focus for me. I think something that I will be giving a little extra focus to is putting myself and my happiness before others. I am such a giver and I love myself for that, but I also have realized that you can only give so much. Love and respect needs to be met in equal. I pride myself on being selfless and I do think it is a beautiful quality, but I am realizing it is also okay to be selfish at times too.
On a different note, I absolutely can not wait to share with you all what we have in store for Sormeh Lifestyle this year. We have been working extra hard and have a lot up our sleeves. It is only a matter of time!
Here's to the blessing of seeing a new year!
