This summer has had me everywhere but home. As much fun as I have had traveling and attending some of my closest friend's weddings and bachelorette parties, all that fun takes a toll on my body. I have grown to look forward to my daily workouts, whether it be in the gym with my trainer, John, hiking, or my bi-weekly flywheel classes. Being away from my routine makes it hard to set and make goals when I'm traveling. That doesn't mean that I don't, it just means I put in the extra efforts when I can and try my best when I am on the road.
As I have mentioned before, I don't obsess over the number on the scale BUT I do know that I like to see it continuously getting lower and lower with all this work I am putting in.
Having been back home from my last trip for almost three weeks now and knowing I have a significant amount of time before I leave again for my next weekend away, I have set my bar really high. I am keeping my eating extremely clean (but not boring), tracking my macros, and making sure I get in a rigorous workout six days a week. I am also making sure to give myself one rest day and one cheat meal a week, so I don't lose my sanity, and to make sure to give rest and shock my body (but more on that another day).
I strongly feel that a workout isn't a workout unless you have the right tunes playing to keep you going and so far, my hard work is really paying off. Depending on my mood, my choice of music varies, but recently I've been really feeling my playlist.
Below are my some of my current favorite tracks to listen to during my workouts!
Mack Down- Sage The Gemini
Black Skinhead- Kanye West
Worth It- Fifth Harmony
Lose Yourself- Eminem
Old Thing Back (Feat. Ja Rule and Ralph Tresvant)-Matoma
'Till I Collapse- Eminem
Nasty Freestyle- T-Wayne
Lil Bit- K Camp
IDFWU- Big Sean
