With Thanksgiving right around the corner and Friendsgiving in full swing, I have decided to share with you all one of my current favorite recipes. Not only can you whip this up in minutes, it is also a definite crowd pleaser...and looks pretty beautiful, if you ask me.
Tis the season of the Persimmon. I know not many people are familiar with this fruit (it's a little intimidating to some,) but it just so happens to be one of the things I look forward to most this season. So, whether you are hosting a small get together at your house or you are trying to impress family and friends at Thanksgiving, this appetizer is perfect!
Prosciutto (4-5 slices)
Brie (1/2 a wedge)
Honey (to taste)
This serves about 8-10 people.
This recipe is beyond simple. Heat your baguette in the oven until golden brown. Slice slightly cooled baguettes and top with a generous amount of brie, 1/2 a slice of prosciutto, a wedge or two of persimmon, and drizzle with your favorite honey. THAT'S IT.
Share, eat, be merry... and be prepared to whip up a second batch, because these bad boys are THAT good.
