I promised you a post all about GINGER and that is exactly what you are going to get! I have incorporated Ginger into my every day routine for a few months now. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be the girl adding fresh ginger to her water everyday, I would have laughed out loud. Honest. But, after learning about the amazing health benefits that it has, I am slowly turning on my friends to the wonder that is Ginger.
1. Prevents Cold, Flu, and Fever: When I am starting to feel under the weather, I peel and cut ginger and let it steep in hot water with some lemon and honey. I drink this (delicious) concoction about two times a day and believe me- it is a game changer!
2. Strengthens Immune System: Similar to the point I made above, adding a few pieces of peeled ginger to my water every day has incredible preventative benefits. Like most people, I absolutely HATE getting sick, and I have found that adding a little Ginger to my everyday has boosted my immune system immensely. I drink about 120 ounces of water a day, so I just leave the ginger in my water bottle all day, throughout my refills, and replace it the following day. Ginger has worked wonders on my digestive system and is a natural anti inflammatory... I rarely feel bloated these days!
3. Colon Cancer Prevention: This is where my love and respect for Ginger started! I have learned so many important preventative measures to take into my own day to day life recently, and I am not taking it lightly. Ginger slows the growth of colorectal cancer cells. In addition to eating clean, exercising, and minimizing your intake of fatty animal proteins, incorporating ginger into your diet is a great step in prevention. Why wait until it is too late? With so much knowledge at our finger tips, we have absolutely NO excuses when it comes to taking care of our bodies inside & out!
Obviously there are countless other benefits to adding ginger into your daily routine, but these 3 have really hit close to home for me and I have truly seen some incredible results.
Give Ginger a try and let me know your thoughts!
