I can not believe how fast this past year has flown by! My very first blog post was about my Thanksgiving last year and here we are again... one year later. This year's holiday was a little different than most. We decided to road trip up to Northern California to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Drove a total of 12 hours in one day, to spend 6 hours with the fam. Sure, it sounds a little crazy, but it was so worth it.
Despite feeling extremely under the weather, our time with family was filled with so many laughs, great eats, and love. Growing up we would always spend Thanksgiving with all of my extended family, there would typically be at least 20 of us. But ever since we made the move to Los Angeles, holidays have been pretty intimate.
Since we missed our cooking at home, this Sunday we decided to have our traditional family Thanksgiving. I also invited a handful of my friends who did not have the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving back at home with their loved ones. It was perfect. We had all of our favorite dishes and kept it super casual and easy going.
It has been an incredible few months. From my month-long 30th birthday celebration, to having more than one Thanksgiving feast... my body is officially tapping out.
My focus for December is all about clean eats! I do not have any travel scheduled, which makes it that much easier to meal prep & plan.
