I think by now we all know that I go bananas for a theme. I find any excuse to host any sort of gathering and I love cooking up delicious treats for my friends and family. Mom calls me her "little Martha Stewart" and Dad is more than happy to indulge on any delicious treats.
My beloved 49ers were not in the Super Bowl this year (yeah, lets not talk about it) so I did not feel the need to go out and watch the game at my local watering hole with hundreds of rowdy strangers. In turn, I decided to host a little Super Bowl Sunday Funday at my place instead. I am a big fan of day drinking and I have not had a cheat meal in a few weeks, so this was pretty impeccable timing.
Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Spinach dip. Buffalo chicken dip. Cookies. Beer. Mac and cheese. Chevy's chips and salsa. Tequila. Wings. The list goes on and on. I was beyond excited to see what dishes all of my friends had whipped up for the occasion and even more excited to try them!
One piece of advice: When hosting a party, nothing is worse than everyone huddled up in one room. So when I host at my place I set out different drinks and treats in various rooms so that people have to constantly keep moving. Works like a charm.
On the menu:

Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole.
