A few weeks back some of my sorority sisters and I threw a baby shower for our friend, Ashley. Ashley was the first of my friends to get married, and is now pregnant with her first baby! It is all so new and exciting! Ashley and her husband do not want to find out the sex of their baby, so as far as baby shower planning was concerned, we went with yellows, whites, and grays to compliment our Rubber Ducky theme (Ash is a huge fan.)
With a handful of Ashley's closest friends flying into Seattle, WA for her shower we had our work cut out for us. None of us girls throwing the shower live in the state so we had to come up with some creative ways to get everything shipped out for the event, in addition to ourselves and our luggage.
The shower was a success, of course. Such an intimate afternoon filled with laughs, love, and delicious eats. We made sure to pick up as many bottles of Sparkling Cider as we could, as that has been a huge craving for Ashley and baby.
One of my favorite memories of the shower was having each girl decorate a bib for the baby. Whether it be silly, practical, or serious, baby will definitely feel the love. It was the perfect activity to get everyone talking and acquainted with one another.
On the menu:
Sparkling Apple Cider.
Red Velvet Cupcakes.
Chips and Guacamole.
